About Our Band

Ho'Okipa - meaning to entertain, hospitality and to extend to others the best that we have to give. From crashing waves on white sandy beaches, cool rain on lush green mountains and backyard jams of old and new music. Hawaiian and English songs, rhythmic string instruments and blend of voices that takes you on a journey to Hawaii and hoping to leave or in still the aloha spirit to all. Spreading aloha is our goal through our music and welcoming personalities. We invite you to take a journey with us to the islands.

Ho’Okipa music band consist of Hawaiian musicians born and raised on the islands. There is a unique rhythm and sounds from Hawaii of traditional Hawaiian music, island style reggae, oldies and more to relax to and enjoy. Musicians Steve, Andy, koi, Toutain and Kamuela came together in 2022 to form a unique blend of Hawaiian music. Playing at Sacramento aloha festival, luaus, hula shows, wineries and private parties to entertain and welcome everyone to enjoy the culture of Hawaii. This is our way of saying aloha to all with beautiful blending voices, rhythmic string instruments and a sound that leaves you kicking back in the islands. Aloha and mahalo nui loa e malama pono.

Andy Ene Singer/emcee/composer/promoter

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. At a young age listening to family jamming at luaus, parties and shows. Grew up listening to groups like Makaha sons, Hui o Hana, brothers Cazimero, kapena and more. Playing multiple instruments and singing to entertain guest and make them feel welcome since 2003. Playing music for hula groups Ohana Halau, Na Maka, aloha dancers and other groups in the surrounding areas.

Steve Chipp Singer/songwriter/composer

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. As a musician growing up in Hawaii listening to the music, experiencing the culture has taught Steve how to sing the songs and entertain you Hawaiian style. Also playing for halaus in the area and private shows is my way of spreading the aloha spirit.

Toutai Pasi singer/composer/songwriter

Raised in Laie’a, Hawaii, Toutai has traveled and played for a lot of places from PCC in Hawaii, Polynesian revue in Juno, Alaska and Halaus right here in Sacramento, CA. Singing all types of music, Tahitian drumming and more. Teaching Tahitian drumming, ukulele, bass and other instruments.

Kekoa Young singer/songwriter/composer

Born and raised in Kaimuki, Hawaii
